 Oh,
those special activities....! A dozen specially organized activities will complement
the regular programming during the camper's stay.
Among
the most popular is surely the day at the ocean where we can play in the waves and
compete in the sand castle contest.
Then,
the circus comes into camp! Campers
will compete in different games and win all kind of treats!
Mystery
and fantasy will be experienced during theme days or night games.
Camp
Tekakwitha hosts its own Olympic games, almost as magnificent as the real
ones! Everyone will have a chance to compete in different events and try to break
existing records. Water Olympics will also be held during a particularly warm and
sunny day with a host of different games and activities.
At
the end of the season, a corn party with dances and a nice outdoor fire
is held near the barn.
The
younger campers will have the opportunity to visit a real farm and meet rabbits and
piglets. You may even try to milk a cow!
For
the older ones, a three-day hiking trip will give a taste of the Appalachian Trail
and the Pioneer
program
that they will enjoy when they will come back next year.  Indeed, between
60 and 70% of our campers do come back. It is one of the highest return rate of any
summer camp!!
Each
and everyone will enjoy camping
in the forest or on an island during a canoe trip.
