The
Appalachian Trail is one of the oldest trails in America and extends along 2000 miles
of rugged land from Georgia to Maine
The
Maine section of the Appalachian Trail is the most undisturbed and beautiful section
of the trail. It offers unique views from mountaintops and bogs alike;
you could even meet a friendly moose in Katahdin State Park! A hike through the Appalachian
Trail is truly a unique and memorable experience.

Groups
will cover distances of between 70 to 150 miles during their 8 to 17 day hike. Distances
vary according to the age group. Views from the many mountain summits more than compensate
for the efforts all along the trail.
This
wonderful adventure demands preparation, physically, psychologically and materially.
That is where Camp Tekakwitha's 25 years of experience in sending groups on the trail
comes into play. The camp provides highest quality tents and equipment. A high-energy
variety of menus have been designed by a dietician specifically for teenagers and
the related expense of energy.
